WEEK 2 HYDRATION
These are your practice guidelines for the next two weeks. Dreamworking is a practice in patience and listening.
Take your time.
Review all your workbook pages for Module 1.
Bring your questions to Ocean Hour every Saturday at 10 am PT / 11 am MT / 12 pm CT / 1 pm ET. The zoom link is on the main page of your classroom.
Practice Guideline 1: Experience your medicine.
Before, during and after spiritual work, it is necessary to hydrate. How will you use the ceremony protocol that you created last week to experience this medicine?
Practice Guideline 2: Ceremony in Dreams and Body
Reflect on the goals that your wrote at the beginning of your dream journal, in your intake interview, and the seeds you planted during the New Moon. Be sure to consult with your higher self, guides and ancestors first. Add plant medicine, one plant per night, to your water bowl that you sleep with. Speak your intentions over the water. Take notes including the date.
For Increase/Opening: Rice, sugar cane, cinnamon
For Protection/Cleansing: Tobacco, camphor, lavender
For Hydration/Wound Healing: Aloe, orange or lemon peels
For Removing Excess: Basil, Lemonbalm
Review Water Filtration and consider carefully the water you’re putting into your body.
FULL MOON CEREMONY (The next full moon is in Aries on 10/20 at 10:57AM EST )
Ceremony can be performed the day before, the day of, and/or the day after the Full Moon. What other ceremonies will be you participating in this Full Moon?
SPROUTING + FLOWERING
Be sure to review your documentation for the exact seeds planted on the New Moon. During the Full Moon, check to see what has sprouted. This is good time for transplanting growing dreams into new homes or spaces giving them more room for their roots. If you notice a different area of your dream garden is blooming, give thanks and document this in relation to the seeds planted. It is important to note your personal timetable in regards to your seeds sprouting.
WAKING REALM AND DREAM REALM
In Hoodoo traditions, dreams can be a space of prophecy and a space to receive messages from ancestors and spirits. In Chichimeca traditions, it is said that our time in the dream realm shapes our waking realm. In other words, we are also planting seeds in our dreams. Notice what you dreamed about around the New Moon. Was it in alignment with the seeds that you planted in Waking Realm? If not, how might you want to expand or bridge the two? Is there a seed that you want to be rid of? How can you express gratitude for both, even if you need to say goodbye to one? If it is in alignment, how can you enjoy what is sprouting? Also, leave room for it to be both in alignment and room for adjustment. If not already, we will begin to notice more blurred lines, less binary. **As always, please follow the protocols best for you.
MODULE 2 REFLECTION QUESTION: Which practice guidelines have you tried? What has been your experience with each? What are you noticing about your dreams?
Journal about your reflection question and if you’d like share a few reflections at Ocean Hour on 10/16.
